Criminal Defense
Traffic: We have successfully represented clients with traffic tickets all over Metro Detroit, including Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne counties. We negotiate reductions for almost all of our clients, often times resulting in zero points and no increase in insurance premiums.
Misdemeanor: We are knowledgeable of the law and will use that knowledge in protecting your rights, whether it means trying to negotiate a plea or going to trial.
Felony: We are not afraid to try your case. We have experienced trial attorneys that are ready to take your case to a jury if that is what it takes to protect your freedom.
Juvenile: The legal path for a juvenile is far different from that of an adult. We will be there with you every step of the way to make sure your child's rights are protected and we will do everything we can to keep a conviction off of your child's record.
Probation Violation: Violations of probation do not carry the usual criminal burden of proof of beyond a reasonable doubt. The burden of proof is far lower for the probation department and the regular criminal rules of evidence do not apply.
Expungement: We have been able to expunge clients' criminal records and give them a clean slate. If you only have one prior conviction and meet other statutory requirements, we can offer our assistance in giving you a clean criminal record again.
Probate: Losing a loved one is hard enough. We will be there with you every step of the way. We can assist you with every phase of the process so that your loved one's assets can be distributed properly.
Estate Planning
Wills: We have drafted wills for clients with many and few assets. Whichever category you fall into, we can help you prepare a will that will distribute your assets in the way you desire.
Trusts: One of the most common reasons for forming a trust is to avoid the probate process. In addition, a trust can also reduce legal fees and probate court expenses, as well as keep your affairs private. We have helped clients benefit from these advantages by catering trusts to their specific needs.
Power of Attorney: We have helped clients draft an effective power of attorney which allows an appointed person to act as your legal representative. We can adjust the amount of power you would like to assign and the time in which the power will be effective. We have also assisted clients in composing a useful power of attorney for health care in which you are able to appoint someone to make medical decisions for you.
Civil
General Civil: We have secured both large and small judgments for clients. We are ready to go to trial for you if that is what it takes for you to get what is rightfully yours.
Landlord/Tenant: We have assisted clients in recovering possession of their property and to obtain money judgments as well.
